Hi, my name is mike, I am having trouble with my car and need it fixed immediately. It is a '67 Ford Galaxie 500 with the 390 engine. A few days ago the ignition fell through the dash and while driving, a loose wire caused sparks to fly and the engine and all electrical systems shut down. I have tried to replace fuses and the ignition itself, but thus far has not worked. So basically I need diagnostics and repair work to get it up and running, because without a car, getting to work and promotions is an incredible pain in the ass. I am willing to trade tattoo work hour for hour (maybe more if you are the right mechanic and you'd like to do future work on it). I also need a full tune up and a few other minor repairs, I simply do not have the time to put into it myself. I will provide parts if you can provide the knowledge and tools for the job, as well as your own transportation to North Portland.

Considering that this is Portland, I feel the need to say NO TWEEKERS whatsoever. You know who you are! Manual Transmissions fail due to abuse, lack of maintenance, and plain old wear-and-tear. When a transmission fails it is always expensive. Let us soften the blow by providing expert, in house repair expertise and affordable labor rates.

Automatic Transmissions have many complex parts that must all work together perfectly. When these parts fail you will usually have warnings. One of them is dark transmission fluid. Another is a performance problem. Instead of a smooth, powerful transition from a standing top to highway speed, there may be slipping or interruptions in acceleration.

Note Check engine light doesn't always mean there is a problem with the engine. It could be your transmission.
DO NOT IGNORE THAT LIGHT!! IF YOU GET IN SOON ENOUGH YOU MAY NOT NEED A COMPLETE REBUILD WHICH COULD SAVE YOU $100.00 OF DOLLARS!

Transmissions will fail when parts grind together because of overheating or failure. In today's cars, there maybe an electronic component that controls your automatic transmission which needs replacement or adjustment. A fluid leak can cause malfunctions in operation because of overheating and lack of viscosity for gears to function.
