Crimson Trace Corporation (CTC), the leading manufacturer of laser sights for small arms, is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a high quality, proactive and driven engineering team. Our engineers are responsible for employing sound, yet innovative engineering principles in the development of new laser sighting products and accessories as well as initiating upgrades to CTCs current product line.
As an active team member, the Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of electrical assemblies for new products and/or upgrades to current products. Responsibilities include: Development of design documentation, testing of electronic components, and generation of production test fixtures for electronic assemblies. The ability to openly collaborate with and support the production, customer service, sales and marketing departments ensuring the quality and success of new and existing product design execution is a must for this position.
Qualifications
BS degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 6+ years electronics development experience in similar manufacturing environment is required.
Strong knowledge of Engineering principles (DFSS and DFM a plus)
Working knowledge in Data Acquisition equipment and principles
Knowledgeable in use of electronics troubleshooting and SMT rework equipment
Experience with programming in the Windows Operating environment.
High proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required. Must be solution driven w/ability to generate creative/innovative solutions.
Ability to work well in a collaborative development environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Firearms experience desired.
Essential Functions:
Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Electronics Circuitry Design to include laser driver, power supply circuitry, and new technology introduction (NTI)
Responsible for developing printed circuit board (PCB) design and interface to support design function from concept to manufacturing.
Complete required Embedded Firmware Development (EFD) in Assembly, C and/or C++
Ability to identify and secure all necessary components and equipment to support the product design process.
Construction of fixtures required for prototype evaluation and testing.
Help design and/or specify automated fixtures for board level production testing
Creation of standards and test instructions to qualify product to industry standards.
