Taxation Analyst
Monthly Salary, based on 37.5 hours per week:
$3,599 - $4,561

Clackamas County Department Assessor's Office is seeking a highly skilled and committed Taxation Analyst to oversee all aspects of annual property tax levy calculations. This includes preparation of detailed reports using large volumes of data, review of district budgets, forecasting by performing data and statistical analysis, and ensuring annexations and urban renewal districts are properly set up and maintained. The incumbent will act as the main liaison among taxing districts. This position will work with a $600 million tax roll, over 125 taxing districts, and a combination of over 375 tax code areas.

Competitive applicants will have:
• Advanced Access skills – creating and working with Queries, Reports, and Forms
• Advanced Excel skills - writing complex formulas and linking data from other sheets
• Prefer experience with SQL
• Strong Analytical skills - attention to detail, ability to analyze for solutions, to compile figures, and to derive at relevant conclusions
• High rate of accuracy and good organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines - working extended hours during roll calculation phase (Mid August - Late October)
• Handle stress effectively - multi-task and reprioritize assignments as needed
• Good communication and customer service skills
