We are recruiting a goal minded, results oriented professional to join our highly talented team of creative and technical staff to help pave the way for our next big step in the prototype printed circuit board industry.
SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for creating and executing media activities along with additional Marketing activities assigned by the Director of Marketing. The primary focus will be establishing and managing press relations for Sunstone Circuits. Under the guidance and support of the Marketing Director, duties will include managing existing media relationships, identifying new press opportunities, negotiating advertising contracts, client database management, and maintaining current marketing efforts. This position requires the skills to work within established budgets, identify efficiency gains, track and measure results, recommend changes, understand promotional policies and the needs of our organization to develop media strategies that will influence public opinion and aid in promoting our products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Create, manage, and execute upon media activities for Sunstone Circuits

Develop long-term relationships with premier press editors and advertising counterparts in an effort to develop content and editorial opportunities for Sunstone Circuits

Manage, negotiate and purchase media within established budgets

Contribute to, monitor, and measure newly created social media network activities
Evaluate media performance and provide recommendations for enhancements, scale or discontinuation
Track and evaluate program performance, making appropriate adjustments and recommending/implementing enhancements to capitalize on trends within established budgets

Write and execute market research surveys in addition to analyzing industry and market segments
Execute email campaigns, manage email distribution through current e-marketing platform, and report on campaign metrics
Work independently and with various Sunstone team members as well as third party partners and vendors to ensure press efforts are supported and media opportunities are maximized and measured
Have a sense of nuance in order to communicate consistent and specific messages to different audiences via different channels
Have a passion for digital media and eCommerce businesses

Contribute to internal status meetings and external partner meetings

Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Respectfully takes direction from Supervisor.

Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
• 3-5 years’ experience in writing, creating and executing upon press relations activities
• Ability to negotiate advertising contracts plus manage media activities by tracking, measuring results, and recommend changes
• Direct marketing project management experience a plus
• Print media experience important, specific eCommerce category experience very valuable
• Proactive with a positive "can do" attitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Strong knowledge of the Internet
• Data-driven and results-oriented
• Technical understanding is a plus
• Ability to think creatively
• Excellent computer skills, proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Have high energy and enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment
• Planned and disciplined
• Detail-oriented and precise and self-motivated

EDUCATION
Requires a BA or BS from a four year college or university; experience in technical and/or marketing writing a must; excellent project management skills necessary; and three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination.

Must be adept at using various applications such as Microsoft Office which including database, spreadsheet, word processing; communicate by email, and use scheduling software.
