Hello!

Your male calico kitten is carrying an extra chromosome. He is an XXY. That is how he shows the calico coloring. He is most probably infertile. Male Calico kittens occur approx. 1 out of every 3000 Calico kittens born. So yes fairly rare, however not worth anything more that a normal sweet cat and the wonderful value of a companion for life! So with that in mind, I hope your rehoming fee is reasonable for him, and thank- you for rescuing Cats.

About 9 months ago our neighbors found a TEENY WEENY bunny and sent it our way in hopes of not having to see it die. In our nurturing care it not only survived but thrived! We have too many other critters of our own and are putting him up for adoption. His rehoming fee is $5 to insure he is wanted and cared for, the same as the local feed store will buy him from us for before they mark him up to retail.

He is extremely gentle and sweet. Very social and not hyper by any means. He likes to be held but doesnt like being picked up in order to be held. Go figure! He hops around his cage following us as we work in the yard. Loves attention and dandylion weeds. Likes being held, but not the act of being picked up.

Can post photo later. People keep asking me how much he weighs...he is about half the size of my standard rex.

The Story, the Heartbreak:
Once there was a little black kitten who was abandoned by his nefarious owners at a food processing plant in Silverton, OR. All the workers at the plant quickly fell in love with the kitten, but alas, they all had zillions of cats themselves and could not take in another one. All except one kind microbiologist, my housemate. Though she had neither the inclination, nor the resources to own a pet, all her coworkers begged her to take the kitty in, and she could not refuse. Though we love having Mr. Kitty stay with us, we cannot keep him forever. Please help us find this cat the loving home he deserves.

The Skinny:
Mr. Kitty is a neutered, vaccinated, housebroken cat. He is healthy, extremely affectionate, and very energetic. He will need attentive owners who are happy to spend time playing with him. He loves all people, and is not high strung or easily spooked. He is now squirt bottle trained and will not jump on tables or countertops and does not scratch furniture.

Cooper is a fun loving, playful puppy who is one year old. He is nuetered and UTD on all of his shots. Cooper is full of energy and is a solid mass of muscle. We got cooper by default about a month and a half ago because we were house hunting and the lady who ran the rescue he was at found out she was very sick. We had to postpone the house hunt and cooper has to go asap because our landlord won't let us keep him. It is also not fair that cooper be stuck in an apartment all day long. We have a great boxer/pitt mix that we are needing to find a good home for. He is 1 1/2yrs old and is black with chocolate brown mixed in. He's a great dog. Unfortunately, we are not able to keep him. Our friends moved out of state and were supposedly working with a contact at the Humane Society to have him took in within a week of them moving. Well, that was over 3 weeks ago and we have been really patient, but we are really not able to keep him. He has passed the Humane Society temperment test and does well with other dogs and great with kids. He's a total lover. He loves to play and is a total body wagger when he swings his tail!
We would love to keep him, but we just are not able to. And, if we had known that we would have had to keep him this long, we probably wouldn't have told them we would watch him for them until the Humane Society could take him in.

Please contact me and we'll make arrangements to meet. I would like to get at least our $25 back that we have spent on food for him. Otherwise, I would say he could go "free to a good home." I am leary of that though because of all the horror stories I have heard of animals that go "free to a good home."

Please help us find him a good home. We hope to be able to find someone by this weekend, but will not be hasty in a decision on who he goes with.

I have been laid off and unemployment is not enough to pay the bills. I was hoping to find a job before now but it has not happened yet so our lovely parrot needs to go to a new home where she can be pampered in the style she has been accustomed to!

Lulu is between 15-18 years old. She is a bit hormonal now because it is Summer, but when she is not she loves to cuddle and be scratched. She is a Red-Lored Amazon and says a few words but none very clearly. 'Good bird' is one that is understandable :)

When we received her she had been neglected and had never been held of given affection, she did not know how to stand on a hand or that people were for treats and cuddles. I spent a great deal of time teaching her and now (when she is not all Amazon Wound-Up) she is a real sweetie pie. She came to us refusing to eat anything but seeds and sunflower seeds but after several years has come around some and likes dandelion leaves and other leafy greens and if nobody is looking she will eat a little carrot broccoli corn etc and she LOVES chicken! She gets fresh stuff to nibble on every day, a couple of peanuts every day (more in the winter when it is cold) and I keep her seed/sunflower/millet mix available all the time as she is stubborn and if in a 'mood' will refuse to eat anything else at times!

She loves spray baths as well and does quite comical dances flinging her wings about and crowing with joy.

She has a med large cage 2feet by 2 1/2 feet(that does not come with her) she had a very large cage at one time but did not like it. I think in her former home that she was in a very small cage and became used to it but we found a happy medium she could live with. She will come with her emergency and travel crate- it is not pretty as she has chewed the heck out of it, but it works and she rarely needs to be in it.

Her re-homing fee is $300 and that is firm! Big parrots are a big responsibility and if we could keep her we would, we want to know you are SERIOUS, but keep it low enough for you to be able to afford a nice new room for her. She will also come with her braided rope perches, these are the only ones she has not chewed so she must like them :) She does love to chew clean wood toys, paper ropes,Popsicles sticks- cooked chicken legs and apple branches which are a fave!

Please have some bird experience, she is not a baby and needs someone who understands the Amazon temperament. When her feathers and tail are flared and her pupils are spinning- leave her alone! Cover her up and let her hormones settle. It does blow over and then she goes back to the lovey-dovey cuddle girl. That is part of the Amazon charm- that super charged energy and funny antics. Our girl is a bit calmer and quieter then most Amazons though. She likes to 'sing' on the weekends while we vacuum and do chores but most of the time she is pretty mellow. We live in an apartment and our neighbors have told us she is hardly noticeable, and MUCH quieter then the kids next door!

If you have a small bird she does like buddies, not in the same cage of course but she does like someone to cluck with.

Serious replies only please, and no lectures needed, we have had her for over ten years and you cannot imagine how we hate to see her go, but it is better to find a good home now then to wait until we have to cut back on her quality supplies and time.

I am a 3 year old Chocolate Lab mix. I've had a pretty rough life so far - in and out of the shelter all my life. My mom rescued me about 10 months ago from a shelter in Portland. I was abused in the past so some people think I have behavioral problems. But really, I am just very cautious of strangers (especially men) until I know I can trust them. I don't get along with cats very well - I haven't spent much time around them, so mostly I tend to chase them. I'm very content to just snuggle on my bed inside with my toys. I love to play fetch to the point of obsession. I like to ride in the car, and I can sit, shake & lay down. I'm healthy & current on my shots. I am missing a tooth, so sometimes I smile funny.

I need someone who has time to spend with me, to help restore my trust in people, and give me the excercise and love and attention that I need. You should probably have experience training dogs, and please understand that this is a huge adjustment for me.....I may need a lot of patience at first. I would probably do best as an only-pet, unless you have a gentle & mellow dog for me to get along with. I want to sleep inside with you every night, but don't worry because I'll tell you when I need to go outside to potty. I don't chew on your things - I am very gentle with my own toys.

It breaks my mom's heart to give me up, but she's fallen on some hard times and has to move to a place where I can't go. But I know there's someone out there who will love me like she does. If this is you, please contact us as soon as you can.

Someone dumped a mother cat and her very young three kittens in our back yard the other night and we are searching for something we can trap them with.
The humane society said it would be three weeks before they would be out to pick them up and I would much rather catch them and try and help them get new homes. The kittens are said to be very young and we have a greenspace next to our townhomes that is said to have nasty wild animals that kill the neighbor cats. So I am worried about their safety.

We would really love if we could find someone to donate the use of a small animal trap for a week or purchase for a small cost to help these cats. maybe $20-$25

Also any tips on how to catch them. We are not sure if they are tame or not.
Just very sad someone would choose to dump them off.

Australian in origin. We purchased 4 Black Australorp eggs online from Australia, and these two hatched. They are beautiful young chickens!

We are afraid these giant cuties will be targets for predators. We already have a sassy old rooster and some hens, who are a little more jaded to predators than these young birds.

Huge, gorgeous, inseparable, pullet and cockerel, just 5 months old. The rooster is "Baby Huey" and the hen is "The Crow". She will lay a large, white / cream-colored egg almost every day. Super cute pair!

I too, adopted a kitten from Becky. I, too,was impressed by how clean her home, and the kitty area were. She obviously cares about each and every one of the kittens that come thru on their way to their forever homes.
If you're looking for a worthwhile place to make a donations for pets, Becky would be it.

I am selling a 29 gallon fish tank, with a lot of accesories that come with it, just no fish. I've had this tank for about 6 months, and it DOES NOT LEAK!
It holds water, perfectly fine! :)

The fish tank includes:
two 30 gallon tetrafin filters
two fish nets
gravel vacuum, a must have even with a sucker fish! keeps the tank very clean!
decorations, both are palm trees, and one has an airstone in it, so lots of air will be in the tank
heater
fish food
decor skull
gravel, size of pea pebbles
hood and light
some extra filter cartridges

You can't get any better! It's the whole package!
I'm asking $75 for the whole thing, which is a really good deal! Cause the filter is an extra $20 at a pet store, because there is two filters, and the whole package all together doesn't include an extra filter, unless you buy everything seperate. Without the extra filter, its around $160 brand new. So you are getting a great deal!
