We are two youngsters who suffer from a Neurological Condition, so we shake and are a bit wobbly on our feet. Wobbles is the more friendly and outgoing of the two of us and loves to be held and stroked. Weebles is a bit more shy, but also loves to be held. Wobbles is more adventurous and likes to explore at the shelter, while Weebles is happy and content to stay in her bed in her separate space.
We are currently in Foster Care and adoptable thur West Columbia Gorge Humane Socitey. We found ourselves there after living with a animal horder. Our owner had to many animals to care for all of us. Our mother lived there also and did not recieve her vacanations and ended up with Distemper.
She ended up getting pregant while having distemper and that is why we weeble and wobble. There is another blog with information about Feline Panleukopenia Virus ( Distemper).
Weeble and wobbles condition will never get worse they will just bounce for the rest of there life. They do not realize that they are disabled at all both are very curious kittens wanting to explore. Most kittens with this disabilty do not live past a year. Due to the fact they are unable to adjust to there own disabilies.
Weebles and Wobbbles have a very close relationship and must be adopted together.
Weebles is very shy with humans, but has made remarkable progress since in foster care. However; she is extreamly outgoing and playfull with her brother (Wobbles) and other animals. She has adjusted very well to the " outside the shelter" life. Dont let the disability fool you....she is not to limited on what she can do!!
She is a sweet kitty, and with the companionship of her brother, other family pets, and good Foster Parents she will be able to have that chance that the rest of her brothers and sisters did not.....the chance to be happy.
Wobbles is the King of curiosity!
There is nothing he wont explore, and or try! He has'nt ever been shy like his Sister (Weebles), and seems to have been able to get her to be less timid around Humans. He takes extreamly good care of her, just like a big Brother should. He to loves to be around other animals, and has no problems whatsoever being around children and adults. He always wants to know what you are doing, and is very perceptive to sounds. He knows when you open the refrigerator that you are getting food, and he wants to know "whatcha got"?
Wobbles is a "cuddler" and loves to sleep with his Sister, or once he gets to know you...he will then be in your lap, sitting on the couch with you, and eventually hogging all the covers on your bed!!
Weebles still will need plenty of time to adjust. Thay have been in foster care since March and she is just now starting to come to you...almost. She wants to very bad and will in due time.
It is imperritive that theese two stay together, to keep their progression continious. Seperation would only cause regression, as they have both come very far in their lives.
Weebles and Wobbles are two extremely loveable Cats, and will only bring much joy to a Family that is willing to give them a chance.
