HPLC Chemist

LOCATION
Kelso, WA. CAS Kelso is the largest laboratory in the network with over 50,000 square feet of laboratory and support staff space. Kelso is a scenic corner of SW Washington ideally situated 145 miles south of Seattle and 50 miles north of Portland along the I-5 corridor. With a comfortable rural life style and small-town charm, residents are removed from urban congestion yet have ample access to city amenities and abundant year-round outdoor activities.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
Experienced HPLC chemist wanted for pharmaceutical QC testing laboratory. Position will require experience with HPLC instrumentation, including method development for both HPLC and SPE. Duties will include:
• Conducting routine analyses using established techniques following published methods (USP/EP) and SOPs
• Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of HPLC system
• Reviewing/writing analytical test methods, protocols and reports; interpreting/presenting analytical data
• Developing new test procedures utilizing HPLC and/or SPE

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate must have a B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field and have a minimum of 2 -3 years of analytical testing experience. The candidate will posses an ability to quickly learn computer software programs and to multi-task with minimal supervision. Must have experience with HPLC and SPE method validation. A working knowledge of Thermo instrumentation and Chromquest/Excaliber software a significant plus.
