Needing room with garage (Vancouver)
I'm a 33-year-old man, with no kids. I don't smoke or do drugs (of any kind), but I do drink from time to time. I keep to myself mostly, and would like a home that is similar. Meaning I'm not looking for a place that gets crazy, smokes a ton of pot, and goes on drinking binges. I'm just wanting something laid back and low-key.
The complicated part about this is that I run a year-round landscaping maintenance business. So the place I rent will have to have a place for my trailer (like in a garage), I won't park my equipment on the street. And I will need to be able to put some tools or other such things in the garage from time to time (or other completely dry place). I will have excess bags of chemicals (fertilizer, lime, etc.) a couple times a year, but they do disappear within 2 weeks. The bags are 50 lbs. each, and I get about 10 at a time, but they usually are in the truck or trailer. I've also found that I can store equipment and bags under the trailer and just park over the stuff.
I know this might be a strange request...and I have found the some HOA's will complain about a trailer (or decals on a truck). I have an F-150, and a motorcycle.
Because of my profession, I would be happy to provide my service to the property. We can work out those details, and compensation, though. But please keep in mind that this is a business for me. If you had a maid living in the house you wouldn't expect her to cleanup for free now would you? Or you wouldn't expect free tutoring from a teacher.
Another thing is I do own guns (several rifles and a couple of handguns). I realize that some people might not be comfortable with this, and if that's the case I do understand.
I'm just trying to be upfront about the main things I can think about right now.
I'm free most evenings and weekends to check places out. Please email me if you think you have something that would work.
I would just like emails for now, as my phone is my business line and don't want to bog it down with too many non-work calls.
I would like to pay $400 for rent. I've found that that is about the average for a room, but I am a little flexible.
EDIT: I can't relocate myself and my business to a city 50 miles away. I'm looking for a place to live in Vancouver, or close.
