Bad guy alert. Do you live in NE Portland and have you been ripped off? We just wanted to alert people of Rueben Lee Torres. He goes by the name of Lee. He is a short Hispanic guy who makes a living by stealing things out of peoples yards or homes and automobiles.

We have proof that this guy is a criminal. We have proof that he broke into my neighbors home and stole a large amount of cash. We have proof that he stole a laptop and sold it to someone off the side of the road. We have proof that this guy has a criminal record. The saddest part is that he has a 2 month baby boy who doesn't know that his father is a meth dealer. Rueben is well known in the Portland area.

The police wont do anything to help. What a disappointment. If the law wont do anything maybe a few of us can together. Our homes have been robbed, vandalism has been done and we wanted to know if this meth-head has hurt anyone else. If you have been hurt by this guy please give Lori a call at 503-933-8961. STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall, she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) .....she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die, they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.
Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S Ask the individual to SMILE.
T Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently- i.e. It is sunny out today)
R Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 999/911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other,that is also an indication of a stroke.

Recent Chinese Earthquake shows Columbia Dam Vulnerability (Portland, Oregon)

A number of modern dams were damaged in the recent high magnitude earthquake in south central China. The Dams on the Columbia and particular the Bonneville dam may not be as modern or even built as well to handle a similar quake here. When the dams were built the idea that a 7.0 plus quake hitting that area was thought to be improvable. Now the dams maybe obsolete not just from age but they have also settled. It has also been discovered that the Bonneville dams sits in an area where a whole mountainside collapsed into the river forming the so called bridge of the gods thousands of years ago. The Skamania slide continues at an accelerated rate and you can see it in action where the present bridge of the Gods is built over the most constricted narrow part of the river due to the 1 inch or more side into the river that occurs over there.

Bonneville dam may need relocation and or redesign. The risk is not necessarily that the dam will fail but that water can instantly be displaced in a quake with mountainsides plunging into the reservoir above the dam sending a wall of water down over Portland. I can imagine Portland airport under water.

I am looking at the photos from the recent quake and most damage appears to be where masonry building lacked adequate steel reinforcing how ever it is not always the case. The tall towers on the Manhattan like island of Chengdu appear to have survived mostly intact which is a good thing to report.

Sea Lion Murder Cover Up evolves into "heat exhaustion" (North Bonneville)

I just listened to the Chanel 8 talking head on the subject and after she firsts says it was "heat exhaustion" that killed the animals she adds that "more tests are being done." Maybe she should have said, "Maybe heat exhaustion killed the sea lions." One more sign that it's all still in big cover up movement. If you lie to the government you end up like Martha Stewart. When the government lies to you they are just doing their job and its all for your own good.

Heat exhaustion in an open cage in the shadow of the dam where the spray from the spill ways has a very cooling effect? It's not like they were locked in a sealed car in the sun shine on a 75 degree day. I also recall that the animals died at night when the infrared security camera malfunctioned.

The wild life biologists should just have announced they were having a Sea Lion Steak BBQ instead of pretending like they had nothing to do with the murders. I prefer the myth of George Washington admitting to chopping down the cherry tree because it is a non-native species.

Just imagine what is in store for the polar bears after they get spotted owl status. Did the wildlife biologist also murder the penguins of the Columbia river gorge? They recently disappeared just like the salmon.

My reason for doing this: I have a dear friend of mine that struggled through cancer and beat it. What a long hard battle. Well, the cancer has returned and so has the weight on my heart. I was also born to a mother who had cancer. When I was born I was put into my mothers arms as the doctor told her "enjoy her while you can because I fear you won't live to see her grow". My mother is still with me today. My mother is one of the most stubborn women I know (in a good way) she refused to leave me alone in this world and for that I thank her with my entire soul! So on June 29th I will be riding for my mothers strength and my friend who has had to know the victory of beating cancer and the tragedy of it's reappearance.

Child Care Provided WITH A RESERVATION! We have had someone offer to cover the cost of the child care for our first Study Series. Whoo! Whoo! So, at this point the child care is FREE. We have two very wonderful ladies who will be caring for our children. If the number of children is too large for these two ladies we will be looking for more workers. Rest assured we want your little ones to be cared for and safe.

Hello, my name is Thomas and I'm the drummer for the Christian band-
(The Jon Sherwood band) we are a non-profit Christian ministry based in Sherwood Oregon.
Were seeking to use or share rent on a small warehouse, small office suite or even a lockable garage to be used for rehearsals in the evenings and weekends.

Because people who have the "latest greatest thing since sliced bread" are generally selling crap that nobody wants to buy so obviously nobody wants to waste their time hustling out on the street to see the possibility of maybe making far less than they deserve on an hourly basis while their house gets foreclosed on. Plus when there's something that people want and it's not at the Wal Mart, they just get it online.

Offer a strong hourly salary plus commission and hire salespeople instead of making them work as temps on commission. If you believe in your product, that should be no problem. If you don't, why should we?
