We are really great tenants and have all known each other for a while. We all work in SE Portland need to stay in the neighborhood because none of us have cars. None of us ever pay rent late and our landlords will vouch for that. We dont have a dog but would like the possibility of getting one. We are into, art, bikes, gardens, cooking, books, a good nights rest. We all work normal schedules and are not all night party animals or disruptive tenants. Between us we even have 15 years construction experience.
Why should a person pay $500/month for a tiny studio, or $750/month for a small one-bedroom?
Roommates aren't bad IF you each have your own private bathroom! So, here's my idea : Let's find a 3-bedroom apartment with 2 Full Baths! This way, the third bedroom will be our computer room/office, we'll each have a private bathroom, and if the rent is $1000/mo. or $1200/mo., we'll only have to pay $500 or $600 each.
So we would like to know if anyone has a vacation rental or maybe a second home that they would be willing to lease out for a day and night. We understand that these are special circumstances and therefor special precautions would need to be taken. We are willing to pay a refundable cleaning and security deposit plus up to 200 in rent for the day of and that night. We would even be willing to sign an agreement with you for added security.
During the day, the home would be used for the ceremony (hopefully you have a nice backyard and/ or patio) and the reception. We would love to do most of this outside. We would have music but not overly loud and there will be NO alcohol consumed on the property. The guests (of around 50 or so) would be on site for about 6 hours. We would like to make the sleeping quarters available to out-of-town family (no more than 4 or so) for the night after the wedding. Also, we will be finding a place nearby for parking and hiring people to park the guests cars.
I am a mature male. I really like Portland. I am looking for a place where there is a level of maturity. I keep things real by lap swimming and enjoying whatever I do.

1: I begin classes at the Art Institute of Portland in January, and I need to be somewhere closer to THERE than I am now. Not necessarily downtown, just closer (I'm out by Gresham right now).
2: I'm 21, but not really. I don't really drink (An average amount I'd say), I can't afford to go out, I'm not loud or crazy by any means, but at the same time I'm not a total "lameo".
3: I'm quiet. I read a lot. I cook a lot. I go to shows. I listen to doom metal, but also enjoy 1920's medicine shop music (among many other things).
4: I can't pay a lot. $250 or so. A little more is fine. A lot more is not.

I'm looking for a room that's roughly $300/mo with wi-fi, no pets, and either utilities included or on the cheap side. I'd like it to be a place that I can live in for a long time. Before relocating to Portland, I lived in Ashland, OR, for 5 years, and I resented how often I had to move due to campus housing regulations. Just don't bother asking for a rent that is more suitable for an indoor room. I don't drink, and I don't even look like someone who sleeps outside. Well sometimes. But that's fashionable lately, in PDX in 2009.
About the area:
Our home is conveinently located 35 miles north of Atlanta and close to the mountains. Within minutes you can be at the Southeast's largest mall, or on Lake Sydeny Lanier for championship fishing. Our Home:
A traditional fireplace keeps the living room warm during the few days the weather drops below 42. Feel free to let your pets and kids roam free in this small town and the friendly neighborhood.
