Albina Head Start is currently taking applications for a full day Monday thru Friday preschool program that is free for families who qualify. We are also seeking families interested in our home based program.

Albina Head Start is a Federally funded comprehensive preschool program that serves low income children and families in North, Northeast and Southeast Portland, foster children and children with special needs and/or disabilities.

We currently taking applications for openings anticipated for JANUARY 2010 in our Center Based model.
We currently have IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for our Home Based model.

Center based option is a classroom setting for your child. It is full day Monday - Friday preschool with meals and snack included.
To be eligible for Center Based option:
All parents/guardians in the home must be working, training, going to school or in a job search program (documentation required).
Children must be 3 BY SEPTEMBER 1 2009 (birth or hospital certificate required).
Family must fall within the Federally Mandated Poverty Level Guidelines (documentation required) or be a Foster Parent (DHS documentation required). If a family falls above the guidelines, parents must be receiving a verifiable childcare subsidy.

For the home based option, most all services are provided in your home. Services include weekly home visits and monthly socialization meetings (meals are provided at socialization meetings).
To be eligible for the Home Based option:
Children must be age 3 BY SEPTEMBER 1 2009 (birth or hospital certificate required).

There is plenty of space for naps and or quiet time. We need to rest our little minds in between activities and learning. The back yard is fully fenced with a large play structure (slide, swing etc.) and plenty of toys to play with. We are down a long private driveway, sitting on cul-d-sac, so there�s no traffic to worry about. We will just have a fun filled day of making new friends and learning.

Hi!

I'm looking for part-time daycare for my 5-year-old foster daughter. Our current "nana" hasn't thrived as much as we had hoped; seems our stairs are much for her. We need before school care for about an hour and 10 minutes in the morning (starting at 7:30am or so) every day; and after school care from 3pm to 5:45pm M, Tu, and F, and until 6:30pm on Th. Also need care available all day for non-school days. So, a total of about 18 and a half hours a week, plus any non-school days. My house or your house would be fine.

She's a bright and inquisitive kid who loves a wide variety of things. Like most girls, she adores dolls and anything Princess. However, she also loves anything related to building (Legos, Magnext), trains (esp Brio-style), and tends to be rough-n-tumble with the toughest of boys :) She also loves to do crafty things (what 5 year old doesn't love glue and glitter and scissors?!). She's currently obsessed with attempting to read and asks words to be spelled so that she can write them on her Magna-Doodle.

Ideally, we're looking for a stay-at-home mom or a small in-home daycare. She thrives on consistancy, knowing who's going to be watching her, what kids are (generally) going to be there, and some sort of general routine. Of course, this person needs to be able to pass a criminal history check (done through DHS, since she is a foster child). Oh, and energy is a must! She's pretty active! Another kindergarden or maybe 1st grade family would be awesome, but by no means is a must!

6. Three meals and three snacks per day and of course food is severed whenever is needed by each individual child.

7. Daily report given to parents for infants on everything they do during the entire day. I find this important, especially for infants so that their schedules at home can be followed while in daycare, or at least as much as possible.

Hello!

We are a Stay at Home FAMILY. Our family consists of me, my partner, our baby girl and our best friends that frequently stop by to help out. My partner is a musician that works part time in a factory in SE. He is here most of the day to help with whatever comes up, and we often have friends and family coming over to visit, share meals and play with the baby.

I am in the process of turning our home in to a daycare. I have plenty of experience with this, but since I am a new mom I'm looking to start off rather slow. From 2003-2007 I ran my own in-home daycare. I took care of children 6months-7years of age.. but have experience with children of all ages. I am CPR certified, and I am on the Oregon Criminal Registry. The most I care for alone is 3 at a time, and with full time help I would eventually like to run a full program with around 10 children. (Some part time and some full time.)

For now, I am looking for a few families to do occasional care in my home. A few hours here and there while you have some time to yourself--running errands, working part time, date night... etc. I would be available for on an on-call basis, but I prefer having somewhat of a schedule. I am very flexible, though- I know life just happens, and we all need that extra set of hands!

I would love to answer any questions you may have about what I am trying to create. I have high hopes for what I can do to help the community by just opening my home and arms!

I start a new job this Sunday, and am looking for care for an 8 month old in MY home.

I need care on a random basis. I start training this Thursday and will know hours for sure two days before needing care. It will be anywhere from 1-5 days a week. Ranging from 4hours to 9 hours a day.

I must have someone provide the care in MY home where my daughters toys (sanitized), crib, walker, high chair, food, formula, meds, and diapers are.

Please only write if you can come here. I live on NE 138th ave by mckenzie stadium. Prefer someone with own vehicle UNLESS you live less than 3-4 blocks away.

The only way I would let someone watch my daughter in their home is if they could provide pick up service as I do not drive and they must have a crib OR pack n play in their home as my daughter refuses to sleep anywhere else. I prefer a crib though.

Due to the fact that she is an infant, I WILL require you pass a home based drug test and a backround check. NO criminal backrounds please.

Being a mom and having had to put my children in daycare I know how hard it is and make it a point to provide a safe, loving, positive environment for your children.
