Finance Application Support Specialist
Portland, OR
The Finance Application Support Specialist is a junior level position on the Finance System Services team within the Regence Finance Division. The high level responsibilities of the team include support of PeopleSoft financials, data queries and reconciliation, representation of finance on corporate project teams, and work on process improvement initiatives. This position will have a role in each of these areas.
Bring your technical knowledge of finance to the following role:
- Possess an aptitude for technical learning, good critical thinking skills and excellent communication skills.
- Work with various business customers to provide tier one support on enterprise wide applications, such as PeopleSoft requisitions and employee expense reports.
- Provide finance system support to the business user group by running month-end close processes, reconciling daily and monthly data feeds, adding new fields to the chart of accounts, running ad hoc data queries and other tier one duties.

Combine your degree and finance experience with the following skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 2 years software application support experience is desired; A Bachelor's degree and support experience may be substituted by equivalent combination of education and job-related experience in a related field.
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer and software tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
- Familiarity with finance applications; end-user of Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchasing, Expenses, or other Finance applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of database structures and software security set up is a plus.
- Superior problem solving skills and a unique combination of customer service, communication and technical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive phone presence and unwavering commitment to customer service are essential.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail, administration, and demonstrated organizational skills required.
- Make determinations quickly and work well under pressure.
- Enthusiastic, positive minded, and service oriented.
- Adapt to change and work effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
