About the Position:
PECI is looking for a Senior Program Manager for our Residential sector. This person will be working in a high-performance environment and is responsible for planning, executing, coordinating, evaluating and forecasting energy efficiency program deliverables. This individual will manage a team responsible for the implementation of an energy efficiency program and must ensure their teams planning and deliverables meet or exceed the clients expectations. They will assist the Associate Director in the strategic planning for the program in addition to providing leadership and quantifying program results.
The Senior Program Manager must be able to manage large projects in a rapidly changing environment. They must be able to maneuver quickly between big-picture design, detailed implementation, client stakeholder sensitivities, cross functional team coordination and financial details. This position requires strong business acumen, excellent client and people management and effective communication skills. The Senior Program Manager will provide leadership and vision, execute analysis that informs program delivery and leverage strong communication skills to inspire staff to surpass client and company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a large, complex program, including responsibility for developing work plans, forecasts, program analysis, budget development and management, evaluation of KPIs and directing the program to success. Overseeing program delivery to ensure it meets contractual, regulatory and financial obligations
Develop and manage program budget including financial analysis for company performance
Continuously assess program effectiveness and develop creative solutions to address market dynamics; improving delivery of services for the client within program budget
Manage and mentor the team, as well as set and review performance standards and objectives for direct reports and subcontractors
Manage partnerships with service providers, subcontractors and other industry affiliates using diplomacy to maximize the performance of the program
Build partner, client and customer trust and confidence on behalf of PECI
With the Associate Director, serve as a liaison between all internal and external client activities, partners, end-users and other stakeholders, seeking their continuous feedback
Utilize technical systems and analysis to evaluate program performance and develop recommendations
Assure quality delivery for all program components
Requirements:
Five+ years in project/program management or consulting required
Must have direct supervisory experience including staff development
Successful in a fast-paced environment within a company that has experienced rapid growth
Experience and success within a matrixed organization
Experience in the utility industry, energy efficiency industry or knowledge of the residential sector preferred
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
Leadership, enthusiasm and full accountable for program performance
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
Exceptional analytical, problem solving and business management skills including development and management of budgets and resources
Success in developing and complex implementing plans
Excellent track record of developing and retaining customer/client relationships
Responsive to rapidly changing priorities and workload
Experience managing multiple projects under pressure
Ability to inspire and motivate others to accomplish or exceed goals
Cross-functional team collaboration
Hands-on manager who enjoys working in a fast paced environment
