Security Guards/Officers have more power than regular civilians. Security Guards who hold a valid DPSST card may be authorized to make a legal citizens arrests if any extreme incidents happen to occur while on duty. All courses and topic discussions including "Agent of Law Enforcement"explanation will be covered during class training via DPSST Unarmed Security Training Manual workbook edition May edition 2008.
Our Security Firm will provide the necessary materials if you decide to take this course program.
Please refrain from conducting any security services until you recieve the card from the State of Oregon.

In order to become a security officer/guard in Oregon, you must understand that you also must:
I: Not have a Major criminal background record
II: Know your work history as far back as 10 years -
III: Understand that Security Officers are for Adults only, of all shapes and sizes, and walks of life
IV: GED/High School Graduates, Veterans, senior citzens, ADA citizens, etc are all welcomed
V: Licensed Security companies are more comfortable hiring personnel who have valid DPSST Cards
VI: Must complete and pass the UNARMED Version class course first before moving to the next level as ARMED
VII: A TWP-PS20 will not be issued at this course unless specifically chosen by the The Licensed Executive Manager of the Corporation
VIII: Understand these Application forms are Official State forms in which you will send to the State of Oregon DPSST
VIIII): The Unarmed DPSST Card must be renewed every 2 years
You need to carry a certified DPSST card to perform security services in Oregon.
