ACCEPTING applications for a Teacher for the 09-10 school year.
Position is part-time and starts ASAP, and runs through Jun 2010.
DUTIES:
1. Provide supervision of children and facilities while after school care program is in session.
2. Design and lead a variety of activities including outdoor/gym active group games as well as indoor projects such as arts & crafts.
3. Role model, teach, and provide positive social skills and behavior as per programs philosophy and policies.
4. Provide homework assistance for children.
5. Teachers will provide program/facility upkeep and general cleaning/organization of rooms.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
– BS or BA in an education or related field, (Credits in Early Childhood Education) AND/OR minimum 2 full years work experience in a certified center for ages 5-12 with Credits in Early Childhood Education.
REQUIRED for all positions;
You must be current on the Oregon Criminal Registry database
•Child CPR and First Aid Standard Certification OR the ability to obtain within first 30-days of employment
•Food Handlers Permit
•Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Training OR the ability to obtain within first 30-days of employment
•Be At Least 18 years of Age
• Ability to commit to one full school year ($/benefit bonus given at end of 1 year)
• Ability to directly and respectfully communicate needs and concerns to Supervisor and fellow program staff
HOURS OF WORK:
After school Hours are 2:50PM -6PM, Monday through Friday, when school is in session.
When school is not in session we offer Full-Day Care at all our site from 7:00AM – 6:00PM.
You must be able to work extra hours these days. This happens 1-2 days a month.
HOURLY WAGE:
$12.50/hr
BENEFITS:
Our part-time employees will get 4 paid holidays and 2 weeks vacation if you complete the school year.
