We are looking for a part-time teacher to work with 1 to 4 children in the 1st-3rd grade range. We provide classroom space, supplies, kids and dedicated families as your partners. You would provide experience, enthusiasm, creativity, a sense of play and excitement about the world. Teaching would be project and interest based. The ideal candidate would be able to expand on interests and bring in aspects of research, writing, art, music, math, etc. from that interest. Experience and interest in working with kids with developmental differences is a plus. Must have a college degree, be drug-free and pass a criminal background check. Teaching certification preferred. Exact hours are negotiable and will include some lesson preparation time. We are located in NE Portland.
