Looking for an exciting position as an Engineer Team Leader? We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as an Engineer Team Leader in our Portland, Oregon office. This positions leads, motivates and manages a team of Civil Design Engineers and CAD Technicians to provide exceptional client service and product expertise to support sales and manufacture of civil site solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provides office leadership and establish team expectations
• Leads and motivates the team to support sales through excellent client service.
• Manages the staffing levels, work load leveling and performance of the team.
• Maintains the desired balance between technical and commercial aspects of the business.
• Cultivates a team environment
• Employee Development - skill sets to include technical expertise, commercial understanding, communication excellence
• Collaborates and partners consistently with peers to ensure consistency of process, training, and performance management.
• Leads projects, negotiations, and resolve project challenges as necessary
• Assists team to respond to customers regarding project specific inquiries and general industry questions.
• Establishes rapport with external engineer clients.
• Provides technical training and professional coaching to civil engineers and drafters.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates should have effective leadership skills and ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as required, project management experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 2 to 5 year’s relevant experience in similar industry (construction, industrial, capital goods or other products with a complex sales process), excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple demands and shifting priorities, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer and team relationships.
