SANDWICH LEAD JOB DESCRIPTION
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND DEMANDS
Job Title: Sandwich Lead
Starting Pay: $9.00. Reviews at 1, 3, 6 month and 1 year. Health and Dental insurance available. Paid vacation and 401K.
Hours per week: 35-40
General Description: The Sandwich Lead is a retailer whose primary focus is producing, monitoring quality, and improving efficiency in production of all sandwiches, breakfast items, salads, and soup. Sandwiches and soup are a major portion of our sales at the Café therefore the consistent, hygienic, and speedy production of these products is very important.
Supervision: The Sandwich lead is directly supervised by the retail manager, but is also accountable to retail production manager.
Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform Duties:
a. Must have above average retail skills, able to perform all retail duties.
b. Must know the ingredients and appropriate portioning of all GCB sandwiches, salads, and entrees.
c. Must be organized, self motivated, and have the ability to move fast
d. Must be a good communicator.
e. Must be a proactive problem solver with the ability to improve and develop systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
a. Insure that every sandwich made at the bar is consistent with stated quality and structure guidelines.
b. Train all retail employees on sandwiches before they ever work the bar.
c. Assume responsibility for accurate ordering and inventory for all products used by the bar.
d. Monitor quality, consistency, and efficiency of all sliced and prepped products.
e. Establish and maintain a system of pars for all products used by Sandwich Bar.
f. Monitor quality and service of soup and side bread.
g. Create and communicate about specials.
h. Monitor use of proper abbreviations.
i. Communicate with management, read e-mail.
j. Maintain/create all shift and par sheets

c. Robocoup
d. Cash Register
e. Tosti Grill
f. Dishwasher
g. Steam Table
h. Slicer (when needed)
Physical Requirements and Demands
1. Walking: 40% of shift
2. Sitting : None
3. Standing: 60%
4. Lifting and carrying: Worker will carry and lift up to 15 lbs. many times a day.
