General Job Description:
The Project Manager is the client liaison. They are fully-engaged in client relations and managing the expectations of the client. This includes, but is not limited to, client budgets, timelines, creative and manufacturing needs. The Account Executive must establish their own client base and manage projects with limited supervision.
Essential Functions
Project Management Skills:
Work at office and “on-site” at client’s location.
Work as a team with internal designers and Project Managers and navigate client processes while building relationships with client groups.
Maintain and manage grids.
Maintain and manage the work back.
Recap project status to client group.
Schedule meetings and book conference rooms as needed.
Manage project budget and keep client group up to date with changes in a timely manner.
Select, and manage, production vendors by project based on budget and deliverable date.
Manage color between client, vendor base, and design.
Manage shipments and tracking info.
Manage (on-site when needed) product installations across the U.S. This may be in the retail, event, or promotional environment.
Debrief at the end of the project.
Communications Skills:
This position requires strong presentation skills. The Project Manager routinely presents budgets, timelines, and creative decks to clients.
The Project Manager must be able to build consensus and project “buy-in” among multiple client stakeholders at one time.
Act as advocate for Client, balancing expectations with budget.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
Must be able to write clear and to the point memos and e-mails to clients.
Provide technical expertise to client:
Knowledge of point of purchase displays and in-store processes.
Knowledge of 3D rendering process.
Knowledge of pre-press: file formats, color process, requirements for production.
Knowledge of graphics processes and materials (technologies, substrates, etc.)
Computer Operations:
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word – Should be able to build a spreadsheet, incorporate the appropriate formula’s into the spreadsheet for ease of use and accuracy.
Internet Explorer.
Calculator: Basic addition, subtraction and margin calculations.
Planning/Organization:
Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
