Job Summary:
Assist in the management of the lucy label material development and production efforts including all systems and processes.
Job Requirements:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 1+
Educational/Position Requirements:
Degree in Textiles and/or Apparel or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 1 year experience in apparel related field.
Skills:
- Ability to manage tasks and work with cross functional team members.
- Detail oriented with strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Computer literate, ability to create and maintain reports in Excel, ability to use PowerPoint, Access and e mail based communication.
- Ability to travel independently domestically and internationally.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to take ownership of issues and follow through in precise detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Development:
- Assist in Materials RD&D projects and development as needed.
- Monitor developments, anticipate problems, address and facilitate solutions to manager and team members as needed.
- Manage to timelines minimizing problems and production delays.
Lab dip and bulk fabric approval process:
- Manage lab dip process seasonally including all documentation and communication with mills.
- Manage to production timelines.
- Maintain tracking tools.
- Work with Design to ensure mills have seasonal color standards and print information.
- Manage seasonal bulk fabric approval process including documentation and communication with mills.
- Maintain seasonal fabric binders by category for department.
- Manage excess fabric binder – keeping data and swatches current.
Seasonal information management and department support:
- Manage seasonal Materials Qualification Database, gathering all spec and item performance information from each vendor.
- Coordinate all information needed for QA lab testing on a timely basis.
- Assist in Materials RD&D projects and development as needed.
- Manage seasonal fabric confirmation process.
- Assist in seasonal fabric and trim projection process including communication with vendors.
