Responsibilities:
As a member of the BlueTech team, you will help improve the lives and livelihoods of skilled professionals and continue to build the leading provider of online training for the electrical industry.
You will be embedded directly in our product development team to design and implement user interface and experience for our (mostly) web-based products.
Specific duties:
•Produce great looking and highly functional user interfaces
•Design, develop, and maintain a library of UI/UX patterns and implement site-wide
•Participate in the full design lifecycle, from requirements gathering to paper prototypes and wireframes to Pixel Perfect Photoshop Layouts and implement in code
•Work closely with other designers, customers, and product managers on new features and refining existing experience
In addition, you will work closely with the creative content team, sales and marketing team, and management to ensure the growth and success of BlueTech. Our start-up environment requires an imaginative thinker with the ability to work independently on simultaneous projects and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
Technologies:
We do not hire based on specific buzzwords, technologies, or popular acronyms on your resumes. Today we use Visual Studio, .NET, php, Drupal. Tomorrow we may use something else. Whatever technologies, languages, or software programs you have learned, we expect you have mastered them in depth. In addition, we expect you to master and new technologies that may be brought on board in the future.
Requirements:
•Highly adaptable
•Posses a people oriented, friendly personal nature
•Your friends and coworkers describe you as a highly organized and productive person; they have a hard time understanding how you get so much done in one day
•You have demonstrated success in designing and implementing killer UIs
•You are a master at juggling multiple complex projects demonstrated by a progressive career of successful roles or a student who has demonstrated academic success while maintaining a heavy course load
•Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proofreaders ask you to check their work.
•A desire to constantly develop new skills
•Permanent legal right to work within the United States
•Available for an in-person interview in Portland, Oregon
•Bachelors’ degree, actively working toward a degree, and equivalent work/life experience
