CODA, Inc., Portland’s oldest and most comprehensive non-profit substance abuse and mental health treatment provider has an immediate opening for a either SENIOR COUNSELOR or CLINICAL SPECIALIST depending on qualifications and experience.
The jobs are located in at CODA's outpatient clinics at Portland Recovery Center and Hillsboro Recovery Center. The pay depends on education, experience, and certification of the candidate. CODA provides a generous benefits package and training opportunities.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
1. Assessment and diagnosis of clients.
2. Carry caseload of clients and engage in treatment planning. Provide individual and group counseling per productivity standards.
3. Provide resource information and referral to clients.
4. Attend Drug Court and related treatment meetings; keep treatment team members informed. (Hillsboro job only.)
5. Provide coordination of care with adjunct service providers.
6. Provide timely and accurate clinical documentation.
TO QUALIFY:
1. Must have Associate Degree in an addictions-related field OR be in at least the third year of a related Bachelors Degree program. Additional pay if Masters Degree & qualifications for higher level position.
2. Minimum 18 months of experience in addictions counseling is required, preferably with a similar client population. For the Hillsboro job, drug court experience or equivalent is necessary.
3. Must be able to work independently and have strong oral and written communications skills. Computer skills are necessary.
4. CADC-I certification required or be ready to test. CADC-II certification preferred.
