A successful wholesale insurance broker located in Portland is currently seeking a strong, detail oriented individual for the position of Technical Assistant. Primary job duties include strong administrative support to two brokers, checking insurance policies for accuracy, mail policies, process renewal letters and follow up, process endorsements, process certificates of insurance, run reports and other projects as assigned. This role will also include general office duties such as posting mail, sorting and opening mail, scanning documents into our paperless system, answering phones, ordering supplies and other general clerical duties as assigned. Specific qualities the ideal candidate should possess are being a team player, strong attention to detail, able to take direction, quick leaner, positive attitude, dependable, strong computer skills, ability to multi task and juggle projects. You must be a strong communicator and have excellent customer service skills. Please have a minimum of one year of basic insurance knowledge as well as 2 - 3 years general clerical experience. You must be able obtain your insurance license within one year of employment. If you feel you meet the above criteria, please submit a cover letter along with your resume and salary requirements.
