Seeking Advice On Spraying

I have a 4.5 year old, fixed male tabby. About a year ago he started marking in the house. He has 2 particular areas. At first he marked while I was present. I believe he now knows its wrong. So he secretly marks at night. Any suggestions? Could this be a result of a urinary tract infection? He's a good cat. I just don't understand. Help would be appreciated.
