We are looking for two highly educated, soft sell sales people to represent our customer experience measurement and customer service improvement services. Previous sales experience for a B2B service is a must. The target full time salary is $80-$120K, and the commission structure is such that you could make considerably more. This position is for someone who perhaps has considered real estate but doesn't want to work weekends; or someone who was in consulting or advertising sales and is looking for a service to represent that is innovative and valuable. To ensure this is a good fit for you and us, there will be casual tests and reading required along the way. Therefore, this is not for someone who is fiercely independent but rather someone who is interested, willing to learn and comfortable with doing things like occasionally hitting the audio record button so we can hear what's working, what's not and identify where the opportunities are.
We will provide some leads but mostly it will also be up to you to find leads. You'll do so by perusing trade journals, social networking, blogging, or simply calling into companies to find out who is in charge of their customer satisfaction surveys, mystery shop or call monitoring programs. You may also want to sell to partners (marketing agencies and call centers) who will bundle and re-sell our services.
We'll be very clear with you about our marketplace, that is, who our competition is, what the usual ways of measuring customer satisfaction are and who buys our services. We will be equally clear about our better way of measuring, auditing and planning the customer experience. However, you must understand that we differentiate on the accuracy and quality of our information-- not price. This means you must be comfortable transitioning a conversation away from cost and be able to show value.
The way our sales process works is this: You will introduce our services and then arrange a time for a phone/web demo. After the demo, about 1/3 will result in a plan/proposal and one plan will sign. Prior to signing there is usually one face-to-face meeting.
Candidates who meet these all of requirements will get an interview:
* at min. a college degree
* some writing abilities
* excellent speaking abilities with a personality that communicates well by phone
* genuine interest in customer service and the customer experience
* motivated and directed but never to the point of misleading or compromising the message
You must have an enclosed home office that's private and free from interruptions. In addition, you must have a computer with high speed internet and a landline. Your calls will be routed to you and you'll use our outlook 2007 exchange server for your notes and contacts.
