Software Development Engineer in Test (Web, .Net, Database)
Position summary
Market leader of enterprise class, web based solutions has an immediate need for an experienced SDET to test new SOA solutions. In this position you be utilizing your proven software development, QA/test experience and in-depth technical knowledge to test web based, enterprise class, high availability, highly scalable solutions. Responsibilities will include analyzing/gathering requirements and acceptance criteria, developing tests plans, developing automated test harnesses, and executing tests. In addition to being a self-starter, with a get-it-done attitude, the ideal candidate should have the following experience/skills:
- 5+ years work experience with SQA and software development (preferably C#/.Net).
- 3+ years experience testing multi-tier, web-based applications.
- Experience with testing rich media web based applications based on Flash/Flex and/or Silverlight.
- Perform data testing by writing and executing SQL queries.
- Experience with designing and executing tests. Including white-box, black-box, stress, load, performance, web, and database.
- Experience reviewing requirements for testability, to develop acceptance plan, and to ensure they are unambiguous.
- Test Automation (preferably Rational Robot).
- Ability to take ownership of various QA tasks, work with stakeholders to prioritizing requirements, as well as ability to manage multiple requirements.
- Ability to ensure processes are implemented and followed to meet required quality levels and SLAs.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation), and experience with communicating plans, status, and issues to management and stakeholders
- Hands-on technical knowledge with Windows platforms/tools, Open Source, setting up and troubleshooting test environments.
- BS degree in CS, EE, or a related field is a strong plus.

Target Start Date: ASAP/2 weeks notice
Duration: 6 months, with possible extension
Compensation/Pay Rate: BOE plus med/rx/dent, 401k
