Senior Project Manager, IT
Yesmail is a well-established company with a worldwide presence and a strong slate of Fortune 500 customers. We provide services to some of the largest and strongest companies in the world to help them stay in touch with their customers. Right now, you may be hearing from some of these companies in communications that Yesmail has provided. Perhaps Hotwire or PayPal, Subaru or Coke, HP or Levi’s. Our primary products are opt-in email communications to give customers the info they want when they want it. We are also moving into mobile messaging and social networking to continue our leadership in our markets. Our headquarters is in downtown Portland and includes our development teams, as well as quality, database, business intelligence and other technical people. Because of our successes and the demands of our growing customer base, we are adding to our Operations team in order to stay a leader in our markets. We are profitable and growing, even in the current national financial situation. The culture is casual and very skilled.
If you can get into helping Yesmail stay a leader, and you want to be a senior contributor on any IT projects, driving the process from the beginning to the end, we need to know about you. If you can visualize the quality end-result of your efforts, and have a big picture as well as a detailed view of all IT projects to knit together the improvements to bring the company to a high-level, we should hear from you. We deal in billions of messaging outputs yearly, so your interest in high-quality performance for Fortune 500 clients is important. This role will work with a wide range of teams and will call for skills in creating and maintaining project plans, schedules and supervision of assigned team members. If you can thrive in a growing team and company and help define the directions of that growth, we should talk.
We need people who are energized by design, analysis and review of key projects for a national leader. Our success and profit has allowed us to look closely at our entire infrastructure and we are identifying areas of need that will drive this role. Ideally, we need strong skills that come from a number of years (not months) of experience. PMI certification is a big plus, as is a comfort-level in working with people at all levels, within and without the company.
This is a role in a team that works well together, so a team-oriented approach is valuable, but you should be self-directed and able to prioritize and complete your work with little supervision. But you should be open to reaching out to others when necessary.
