Quardev has immediate project opportunities for a Test Lead, 2 SDETs with automations skills and 2 skilled Test Engineers for a 7-8 month project in PORTLAND. This project will require the team to be located in Portland for the duration of the project, telecommuting is not an option. This project has a start date of 11/16/09. You MUST be available for this start date in order to be considered for this project.
Test Lead Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Test Lead position requirements:
* Develop clear and concise test plans and strategies, test code, test cases, test scripts, and defect reports
* Review and improve test plans and suites to ensure quality and effectiveness
* Set up test environments in the lab or at Client sites
* Review reports and present status and summary reports to clients in both written, verbal and presentation formats
* Manage workflow on projects by establishing and meeting project deadlines
* Be a technical resource for business development, project scoping, and scheduling
* Analyze test results to find defects in the product or incomplete/inadequate test cases in test suites
* Perform ad hoc and exploratory testing beyond pre-existing test cases
* Provide day-to-day guidance of Testers and contribute to the technical development of the team
* Provide feedback on performance of team members to Senior Test Lead or Managing Test Lead
* Ensure Test Engineers are meeting expectations on projects
* Develop relationship with Client and provide feedback to Project Managers in order to leverage new business
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises project team on small to medium sized projects. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work on projects; setting priorities, addressing issues and resolving problems.
TECHNCIAL EXPERIENCE
* Experience in healthcare or insurance industry required
* Display strong understanding of industry recognized testing standards and methodologies
* Solid understanding of the Software Development Cycle
* Display expertise of prominent operating systems and platforms and at least one or more programming languages
* Working knowledge of current technologies
* Ability to evaluate new software products/applications
* Understanding of enterprise technical issues, e.g. networking, database, Internet, etc.
* Understanding of software and hardware configuration
* Demonstrated research, problem solving and implementation skills
* Display ability to configure and troubleshoot desktop and network systems
SDET Requirements:
** Strong test background with experience working in a fast paced, high energy work environment.
** Excellent test automation skill set including being able to identify where test automation is applicable, and analyzing the appropriate language/method/framework to use.
** Passionate about QA with a good grasp of testing methodologies.
** Able to solve programming problems, analyze simple code snippets and debug through log files.
** Strong and well-developed understanding of computing and internet technologies (use of APIs, protocols, etc).
SKILLS Required:
** Clear communication skills - verbal and written
** Experience writing code in C, C#, and XML
** Windows platform testing experience
** Client-server testing experience
** Automation experience using C#
** SQL testing experience
** Debugging experience
** Integration testing experience
** .NET-based testing experience
** Overall testing experience = 5 years or more in the following disciplines: writing test cases, writing test scripts, automating test scripts, writing test plans and reporting test results - must show a proven track record
Desired:
**Experience within healthcare and/or insurance industry STRONGLY preferred
** Testing network protocols
** Testing web services
** Performance testing dealing with data mining/data warehousing
** Product Studio experience
** Test environment management [IIS configuration and SQL administration]
TEST ENGINEER Requirements:
* Write or add to test plans and test code with minimum supervision
* Create and execute manual test cases and test scripts
* Create test cases and test scripts
* Perform ad hoc and exploratory testing beyond pre-existing test cases
* Enter and query defects in defect tracking database
* Conduct analysis of test results to find defects in the product or to find incomplete/inadequate test cases in test suites.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as functional, design, network specifications and diagrams
* Proactively provide daily status reports to test lead or clients on a daily basis
* Display exceptional ability to perform in a team and client oriented environment.
* Display excellent written and verbal communication skills related to sensitive items of a diverse technical nature
TECHNICIAL EXPERIENCE
* Display strong understanding of industry recognized testing standards and methodologies
* Demonstrate strong understanding of software testing principles and test tools
* Experience testing insurance adjustment and adjudication software
* Display solid understanding of the Software Development Cycle
* Possess excellent knowledge of today*s prominent operating systems and platforms
* Ability to evaluate new software products/applications
* Familiar in one or more of today*s prominent programming languages
* Understanding of enterprise technical issues, e.g. networking, database, Internet, etc
* Display ability to configure and troubleshoot desktop and network systems
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
** Bachelors Degree in a relevant field of study and 2+ Years Experience as an SDET or other comparable position in the IT industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
**CS or AAS for Test Engineer
** Software, hardware and other applicable certifications preferred (i.e. MCSE, CSE, PMI, etc.).
** Commitment to ongoing personal study and enrichment.

** Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
** Critical thinking and those that excel as both an individual and team contributor are highly valued.
** Previous technical documentation experience.
