Oregon Health & Science University is recruiting for the position of HVAC Control Technician in our Facilities & Real Estate Department. This position performs maintenance, Repair and Troubleshooting of HVAC, Refrigeration, and control systems, and their components.
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED; Three years of HVAC and Refrigeration maintenance experience; Experience in the operation of simple hand tools such as drills, saws, etc.; Experience utilizing HVAC diagnostic tools; Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers; Ability to understand and follow oral or written directions in the English language; Ability to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration problems; Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license for State of Oregon or Washington with an acceptable driving record according to company standards; Must possess all EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid state of Oregon brazing certification; State of Oregon LME Electrical License.
Prefer a Bachelor of Science degree; Technical school level training regarding Refrigeration, Pneumatic, and DDC control systems fundamentals.
Candidates must be able to lift materials from floor to waist up to 75 lbs. unassisted. Lift materials overhead up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Capable of working shifts in excess of eight hours. Work in extreme weather conditions. Work in confined, cramped locations. Climb up, down stairs. Climb A frame ladders up to 16 Ft. and extension ladders up to 40 feet. Work from scaffolding and elevated platforms. Follow all OHSU required safety procedures during operation and maintenance of building systems. Utilize appropriate personal protection equipment as needed and required.

Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; 1.0 FTE
