E C Company, one of the largest Electrical Contractors in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking an experienced Project Manager for their Service Department. This position reports to the Construction Director and takes full responsibility for a variety of electrical service projects from marketing, through project close out and customer follow up. Qualified candidates will have a successful track record demonstrating a complete understanding of project management responsibilities, including profit, supervision, customer relations, fiscal and contract management.
Responsibilities include:
• Supporting an injury free work environment and safety culture
• Marketing & building profitable jobs
• Decision making responsibility concerning project cost, time and performance
• Accountability for project planning, execution, job cost tracking, and job closure
• Provide monthly project status detail and percent of completion reports
• Coordinate and direct work force
• Proven ability at detailed take-off and estimating for electrical service, tenant improvement, light commercial and light industrial work
• Interfacing with contractors, vendors and in-house operations
• Cross-selling of other company operations through fully integrated solutions
Experience and skills required:
• Minimum 5 years experience in soliciting, bidding and managing electrical service projects up to $250K
• Excellent people, communication and negotiating skills
• Superior knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and write contracts
• Experienced in writing detailed scope proposals
• Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, estimating software (TRF a plus)
• Strong Service, Commercial and Design/Build experience preferred
• Oregon Electrical Supervisor License, highly preferred and must be able to obtain
