Oregon's premier oceanfront brewery and restaurant, the Pelican Pub & Brewery and its sister properties, the Inn at Cape Kiwanda and Cottages at Cape Kiwanda, are looking for an Event Sales Manager. This job starts with selling the events at Trade Shows, making calls and by attending professional meetings and associations. Once the sale has been made, the Event Sales Manager would lead the client through the process of putting together accurate event specifications from lodging, to food service, flowers, security, audio/visual, decorations, music, beverage service, cakes. etc. Accurate recording keeping for the events is a must.
The Event Sales Manager must be organzied, thorough, diplomatic, professional, a terrific sales person; as well as know and love the product, our businesses and the area.
This is a full time position. In the hospitality industry we work when our guests are here so the position must work weekends and some holidays.
High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred, need a minimum of two years experience in facility management or in the hospitality industry, preferably in catering, convetion service or sales.
