Engine is very similar to that of a Model "B" Allis Chalmers tractor if not the same.

The staionarry engine is compleate as far as I know except for missing hand crank and appears in "ok" overall condition given its age but hasn't been run for years .So therefore the Allis Chalmers Engine ,Magneto and power unit will be sold in "As Is Used Condition".I have NOT! mounted it to a frame therefore it hasn't been tested so I don't know if it will run " as is" or not.There is NO frame included engine is loose meaning not mounted or bolted to anything.As far as I know engine wasn't stuck last time I tried it it seemed to turn over fine by hand using the fan. It will be sold as a "AS IS" Restoration Project.Includes Gas Tank. Basicly the engine appears to be compleate except for a radiator and the screen for the radiator shroud.

Suggested useage would be to restore or rebuild the unit for a auxilary power unit(during the NEXT depression) to power a Pto equipment
or simpley for parts value if nothing else .The Pto/ Hand Clutch Control Adapter Alone ougt to be hard to find nowadays.

This rear end was built by one of the best shops in the area, and I have a list of things that document the build. I wanted the 3.23:1 gears because I've used them before in my F bodies. And, this ratio works very well for the street. And, it still has enough bite for those times when I go to the track.



When I bought this differential it was already in fine condition. Then it was rebuilt with heavy duty clutches and springs. The posi unit was also torque tested and adjusted so it was right were is should be at. Like I said, the tubes were welded for strength, and the axles were also checked to make sure they were true. They were also magged for any signs of stress or fractors. The splines were checked, and re cut a little deeper for a closer match with the gears. And, the gears in this are new GM gears, not some imports bought to save money.



Everything was assembled, before brand new complete brakes were installed. This means, new rear brakes, from the wheel cylinder to the new springs and HD brake pads. Again, all parts are US made. All new wheel studs were also installed.



I have a lot of money in this differential and I know I'll never get it back. But, I know for a fact. And, I'm not trying to. My price for this new differential is $1,000. And, I have twice that much in it. But, for a good reason condidering what it's intended use was going to be. And, you never know, I may be interested in a trade for something either car/truck related, or other things I need or I can use.



Please look at the photos, as I tried to take decent, close detailed photos. My price is far less than you can have this built for and. If you want to, this can be adapted to an early truck, simply by removing the leaf spring perches, and installint the correct U bolt brackets. I've personally done the swap myself, using a decent used 8.5" from a later truck, and installing it on my 66 C10.



Because of the plans for this differential, nothing was left to chance. And, everything was checked, and the best parts used to rebuild it. I know without a doubt, this 8.5" will take more power than a factory 12 bolt will. This is a fact. I'm 51 years old, and I've been a car enthusiast for most of my life. So, I don't open my mouth unless I know what I'm talking about. Feel free to ask me any questions, If I don't have the answer, I'll get it for you. One more thing.
