The position does involve a certain amount of problem solving during the execution of any task. If you are able to think around petty delays and frustrations in executing a task (such as finding solutions if "just the right" material or tool is not available, or getting the job done despite interruptions by customers), this is the job for you. For the right person, this is a very fun place to work. This is a part-time job, with no guaranteee of a minimum amount of hours. Job Description:
Retail sales, with thorough knowledge of products, prices and store
policies. Responsible for customer service issues. Must have physical
ability to demonstrate futon sets and load items into customers' vehicles.

Hours: 35-36 hours per week. Schedule will include some weekdays, and
Saturdays 9:30-6:30 ; Sunday 11:45-5:15.

Responsibilities

b.. Ability to learn Point of Sale software and type customer invoices
c.. Store opening and closing; lights, signs, cash close out
d.. Assemble furniture items, move display items, under direction of retail staff
e.. Help organize display and storage,
f.. Customer service: take responsibility for solving problems. Keep accurate records of actions
g.. Staff interaction: work with owner and staff on how to best serve our customer

Goodwill Industries seeks Retail Store Supervisor for our Cornell Store in Beaverton, OR. Operational duties include working to maximize collections, production, sales, salvage, customer service; assisting in the management of proper processing and separation of incoming donations, outlet merchandise, salvage goods if applicable, and waste. Retail Store Supervisors also ensure that production goals are met or are exceeded on a consistent basis, that maximum sales performance through proper stock rotation, display, signage, and inventory levels. Loss Prevention duties include proper operation of store security, keeping premises clean and free of safety hazards, and ensuring all loss prevention matters are reported, investigated, and corrected in a timely manner. Miscellaneous duties include in hiring, training, evaluating and managing store personnel so as to provide an efficient and effective work force; maintaining morale of work force and ensure that store reports, personnel status changes, and rehabilitation information are communicated accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualified applicants will have a minimum 3 years experience in the retail field, and one year in a supervisory capacity or a college graduate, exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics, and sufficient knowledge or booking and accounting. Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
