POSITION SUMMARY
The Institute for Natural Resources at Oregon State University invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term Coordinator for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Project. This project is funded for two years. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Project Coordinator for the ARRA Integrated Fuels Prioritization Project, a joint project between the College of Forestry and the Institute for Natural Resources, for the U.S. Forest Service. The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing activities by COF and INR to successful project completion. Work involves overseeing project module work, developing contingency plans, and tracking overall project timelines and budget to ensure the quality and timeliness of all deliverables, and developing required project reporting. The Project Coordinator will coordinate and integrate the work of project module teams to ensure quality deliverables that are on-time and within budget. The Project Coordinator must communicate effectively to establish and convey performance/deliverables expectations for all project team members. JOB CONDITIONS:
Work is performed both within the field and in the office. Field work will be performed in all weather conditions, perhaps in rough terrain, in a variety of the following settings: along steep banks of rivers and streams, in-water wading/snorkeling/electrofishing, relatively remote upland areas, small watercraft, around heavy machinery and power generation project sites (hydroelectric or wind).
Regular overnight travel will be required, particularly during the field season (lodging and meals to be provided while traveling).
