Hey all,

As you can see from the attached pictures, this macbook pro power adaptor of mine is just about done for. I had to go out and buy a new one today as a result. I am posting this because I'm sure that there are those here who have the capability to strip it down and wire it back up, I dont think it'd be that difficult. The problem is the magsafe connector, the cable is frayed and very close to completely separating. As of this afternoon it still worked but only in a sporadic manner.

This computer is basicly new. i put a brand new 160 gig hard drive in it yesterday and installed windows xp sp3.office 2008. photo shop. and nero pro. everything was installed yesterday so it's clean. nothing on it other then those programs. you would end up spending way more on the programs i have on it then you will pay for this computer photo shop by it's self is $160 program. office 08 another $129 nero pro like $60 thats a total of $349 in free programs. i believe $150 is a really good deal for a good computer that will last you a long time.

The interface is Wide-SCSI.

It powers up, and goes through the motions. The display reports all is well!

I have no data cartridges to test this with. And if I did, I would only be able to watch the robotics move the cartridge(s) into position as operated from the front panel. I have no way to connect this to a PC.

I bought it used, with intentions of taking it to eBay. First I thought to try a local sale - easier, and no packing+shipping!

I have a quantity of three Macintosh Power PC Model-G3 desktop-computers.
I am seeking $50 apiece.

These are the beige-colored, horizontal cases (as pictured below).
They operate on Macintosh OS X.
The G3 had been introduced during 1997 and discontinued during 1999.

All 3 modules have a 24X CD-Drive and a Zip-drive (no floppy-drive, though).
Also, there is an Asante "FAST" ethernet-card installed in the back of each.

The chip-speed, memory, and hard-drive capacity varies among the 3 units:

Computer #1: 266 mhz. chip-speed 512 MB. cache 4GB hard-drive 32 MB RAM.

Computer #2: 300 mhz. chip-speed 1 MB. cache 6GB hard-drive 64 MB RAM.

Computer #3: 233 mhz. chip-speed 512 MB. cache 4GB hard-drive 32 MB RAM.

They would be useful for several reasons:

* a gift to your child as a "starter computer" -- because you have already
owned one of these for many years and already know all the intricacies
and features.

* a replacement for a G3 that you've relied on, but is now working unreliably.

* a source of good spare-parts (including the "motherboard" to recondition or
to repair your aging G3.

I am storing these computers in the vicinity of SE 17th Ave. and Holgate.
