We are a 40 year old family owned company looking for a well qualified General Ledger/Payroll Accountant for our professional, yet casual environment.
Responsibilities:
The General Ledger/Payroll Accountant is responsible for assisting our financial team in all accounting and financial tasks as outlined. This position requires working in a supportive and flexible environment along with the ability to take on responsibilities as required for a well established and growing company.
Financial Activities:
Responsible for processing all journal entries, monthly financial and budget statements for two separate companies
Treasury functions which include monthly cash and bank reconciliation of various business accounts
Full payroll operations for less than 100 employees including tax and commission payments.
Human Resource functions including benefits and maintaining employee files.
Skill Requirements:
Ability to work without constant supervision
Attention to detail ,accuracy and well organized
Willing to improve processes and procedures
Ability to multi-task between two companies and various departments
Proficiency in ACCPAC Sage Software and/or other module based business accounting software
Proficiency in Excel
Education and Experience:
Four Year degree required, CPA or related preferred
3+ years experience in general Accounting and Payroll functions/duties
