Position Overview
We are seeking a multi-faceted marketing specialist to work directly with our Vice President of Marketing in a variety of marketing functions. Your daily duties will vary and include a mix of marketing & ad planning, graphic & web design, events & program management and administrative work.This position is responsible for creating and executing all promotional material, sales collateral, advertising communications and ensuring our brand is reflected accurately. You will maintain internal websites and oversee the maintenance and development associatedbusiness.com including updating the events calendar and news page. You will coordinate and manage events as needed including tradeshows, sales meetings and our annual golf tournament.
Job Duties
Sales & Marketing Support 35%
Implements and prepares marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; plan and organize promotional presentations with VP of Marketing
Develop lead generations strategies with objectives, targets and measures, particularly on-line initiatives including paid search, organic SEO, social media and in-bound linking; Assist in the investigation of emerging market opportunities and research potential new clients.
Evaluate advertising opportunities and develop advertising content
Track sales rankings & manage contests. Requires intermediate Excel skills.
Maintain internal website, e-mail lists and auto-responder campaigns
Manage on-line presence including SEO (paid and organic), inbound linking and directory listings
Monitor and report on website rankings and coordinate with web development team when required
Update events calendar and news through CMS portal
Produce strong written material that supports key operating messages; Compile content for quarterly newsletters and website updates
Manage delivery of newsletters and promotional email to clients
Creative / Graphic & Web Design 35%
Create and execute marketing materials including printed media, brochures, presentations, advertisements, invitations, posters, direct mail, electronic media, trade show materials, press releases, technical articles, tradeshow displays, website content and signage (CS4 & MS Office)
Design or modify custom email templates in XHTML or Dreamweaver
Maintain internal website with Dreamweaver. Must be familiar with HTML, CSS, Java and PHP.
Production and printing of marketing materials
Events & Project Management - 25%
Participate in the planning and execution of sales, community and corporate events such as tradeshows, meetings and golf tournaments.
Monitor requests and responses for ticket request to Rose Garden and Mariners events
Other Duties as Needed- 5%
Demonstrate strong multi-tasking capabilities, attention to detail and project management skills
Effective time management, organizational and leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Event coordination, project management & tracking
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience in related marketing position
Bachelors degree in marketing, graphic design, business or related field is desired but not necessary
Graphic & web design portfolio would be very helpful
Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Adobe CS4 ( Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver)
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, Java and FTP protocol or willingness to learn
