looking to adopt a small dog

My husband and I are looking for a small dog that would be ok with being in an apartmant but we are very active in the summer with camping and hiking. We have no children so all our attention would be to the doggie. I am willing to pay a small rehoming fee. I would be happy to come by and meet you so you can see how good we would be. I am not willing to pay hundreds of dollars for "re homing fees" But I am willing to give a dog a great home.
