JOB SCOPE:
An outstanding ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
Demonstrated ability to program in at least two applicable programming environments.
DUTIES::
• Thorough knowledge of SQL and SQL extensions - at least on RDBMS.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify technical issues, determine causes, and resolve them or enlist the appropriate resources.
• Thorough knowledge of RDBMS tuning, backup and recovery processes.
• Working knowledge of Unix and/or NT system administration.
• Ability to work in a team environment with multiple projects assigned to each team member, on multiple RDBMS’s.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree plus 6 years experience in a related technical field(*) OR Associate degree plus 8 years experience in a related technical field OR 10 years industry related technical experience.
Formal training in relational database management system (RDBMS) administration and SQL.
At least 4 years experience in RDBMS administration with at least 2 years experience in platform administration OR at least 4 years experience in RDBMS administration with at least 4 years experience in RDBMS application development OR at least 4 year experience in RDBMS administration required. The experience must be in a 24x7 enterprise environment.
Successful completion of at least one professional certification exam.
