Edward S. Ritchie nautical compass, inside cover stamped 537 25381, 3-5/8” diameter, Boston, USA, company began in 1850 and is still in business today (Ritchie Navigation).

Don’t know any other information about this compass, I do not know how to date it, done a Google search but most of them that are for sale has numbers stamped on outside ring (this one does not). Sorry, you’ll need to do your own research for anything else that is not mentioned in this ad.
