This is a semiscale model of the famous SC50 sailboat designed by Bill Lee in the 70's. His designs are credited with starting the ultralight revolution which forever changed how large performance sailboats were designed and built. He coined the phrase "Fast is Fun"
The model is 54" long and weighs about 13.5 pounds and draws 19". It has been completely rebuilt with new servos, carbon spars, and sails. With its tall rig, it does particularly well in the light fluky winds of Portland. Overall height of the model is about 100" and the rig easily separates from the hull for easy transport. I have been able to easily transport it in my compact car.
Rudder and sail control (2 Channels) are used on this model. RC transmitter, receiver and battery not included.
