I am looking for some work, preferably short-term or part-time, to keep me busy and keep the brain working.

1. I use QB Online, QuickBooks Pro 2014 & 2016, Word, Excel, other MS products, Adobe ExportPDF, and OpenOffice.
2. I am a fast learner on various subjects, particularly software.
3. I have a good personality (or so I have told). Get along with anyone.
4. Although my Resume is mostly technical, I am looking at a career change and will be dedicated to it.
5. I can do it.
I retired from the Corps of Engineers as a Hydrologist and working supervisor in Reservoir Regulation with Hydrologic studies background. I am proficient with various types of data entry and data bases. Also, setting up and programming telemetry networks. Have also been involved with technical writing and reports. Since then, I have contracted with Engineering and Law firms. A large part of this were contracts with the Corps primarily installing telemetry systems and various hydrometeorlogical studies
Between 2010 and 2013, I used QuickBooks Pro 2011 to setup accounting for a wholesale/retail medical supply business. Basically sent up as two different businesses with use of the Class option. The accounting had previously been done by hand. I set up QuickBooks for them, entering classes, customers, suppliers, accounts, etc. I also wrote operating instructions on how and what data to enter, file names, etc.
For the next couple of years, I entered bills, did invoices, inventory items, bank reconciliation, etc. Along with the initiation of QuickBooks, I improved their filing system to better coincide with QuickBooks, and did filing. Family members then took over the duties.
Also, I took their office correspondence, which had been created in WordPerfect and hand filled out, and changed them to Word and set up a filing system on their computer so the documents could be filled out electronically and stored. This work enhanced my interest in pursuing office work.
My recent work was working with A/P and A/R, Billings, Invoices, Checks, Credit Card entries for 12 people, and payroll for 15 people. I will admit I have done some of the tax end of the payroll, but it is not high on my experience level. Also, within the past couple of years, have held short term positions using Quickbooks, one was with an Apartment management firm, and one was training a person in Quickbooks.
I would consider myself very proficient in Word and Excel. Good knowledge of other MS products. My previous work experience allowed me to work with various software programs, which I had no problem learning.
I am assuming you are looking at an office environment. If work at home is possible, I have at home QuickBooks Pro 2014 & 2016, QB Online, a Gateway DX desktop computer with dual screens, a Toshiba 17" laptop, a HP OfficeJet 8600 color printer with 2-sided printing capability, and wireless throughout the house. I use both Microsoft Office, Quicken, and Apache OpenOffice products.
The compensation I am looking for is in the $15 range. Because of my Federal retirement, benefits, if provided, such as medical, dental, and vision are not required. Any retirement packages, 401K, etc., is negotiable.
If interested, I will send my Resume, it may be overpowering for some part-time jobs advertised, but shouldn't be a problem for either party. It does show my background, capabilities, work ethic, awards, letters of appreciation, and papers written and published. I have abbreviated my work since 1996, omitting months and years, due to the nature of the work done for various entities.
Some active side interests are 30 years of wrestling announcer for Rex Putnam HS and 30 years on OSAA State Wrestling Tournament Committee. 38 years on football chain gang for Rex Putnam
I recently qualified as a Disabled Veteran with hearing loss, correctable with hearing aids. This has not affected me much without aids, except in certain ranges, i.e., high pitches and noises.
I would consider myself a very rounded person, capable of just about any job.
