Hey there! Grow your own mushrooms easily with spent mushroom substrate blocks!
We are selling spent mushroom blocks- each block is approximately 5 lbs and 12 x 6 x 3 inches. You will get MANY lbs of mushrooms by using these blocks. Our farms is certified naturally grown, which means we do not use any chemicals or pesticides throughout the entire cultivation process.

These blocks are perfect for cultivating outdoor mushrooms. In a shady spot under a bush or tree, all you need to do is crumble up and spread the blocks in your existing garden, add them to straw, wood chips, or organic soil/ material, bury the block halfway in the ground, or just simply break them up and put them in a pile and mushrooms will grow! If you set it and forget it, the fruits will be bountiful when it rains. Otherwise, keep it moist if it's hot and dry outside and mushrooms may fruit sooner.
You can also use these blocks as compost for your garden.
As a soil amendment, spent substrate adds organic matter and structure to the soil. Spent substrate primarily improves soil structure and it does provide a few nutrients. Spent substrate is the choice ingredient by those companies making the potting mixtures sold in supermarkets or garden centers. These companies use spent substrate when they need a material to enhance the structure of a soil.
we grow many varieties such as blue oyster, golden oyster, chestnuts, lions mane, and shiitake (shiitakes are not available in spent block form, as we are working on outdoor projects)
*If you are picking up, you cannot cherry pick blocks. If a block looks a bit green, it will not impact mushroom growth. We have multiple test piles on the farm with old blocks, green blocks, etc and they all grow beautiful mushrooms.
