Clackamas County Law Library is currently accepting applications for a part-time, Law Library Assistant 2. This position will work 19 hours a week and will be joining a small team of professionals that support a variety of patrons ranging from judges to attorneys to the public.
Primary responsibilities involve providing reference assistance to patrons and guidance on types and location of legal research and reference materials; processing incoming print and non-print materials; and assisting the Law Librarian. The ideal candidate will have library or legal experience, preferably in a law library or legal research environment, familiarity with navigating through print and electronic law library collections and systems, excellent attention to detail, strong communication, patron assistance, and computer skills. ABOUT THE LAW LIBRARY
The Clackamas County Law Library is located in historic downtown Oregon City on Main Street. Law Library staff members are available to assist patrons with locating resources and performing legal research 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays. State law (ORS 9.160) and Law Library policy prohibit staff from providing any assistance that might constitute the unauthorized practice of law. The Alden E. Miller Law Library of Clackamas County is a Clackamas County department administered by the Clackamas County Bar Association Law Library Committee.
