I've reached out to every drummer that has posted on CL who, based on their ad, I thought might be interested in this project, and so far none have accepted the challenge. It kind of blows my mind, especially how dismissive the drummers I've talked with have been. Are there no drummers around who like, play and are inspired by the arguably best rock drummer that has ever lived, Neil Peart? Apologies if this sounds like a rant, but I find it mind blowing how few drummers are interested in playing Rush's music.

Here is my pitch...

We had a gigging Rush tribute band that fell apart for various reasons, and I'm finding it hard to let go because that was absolutely the most fun and most epic music I've ever had the pleasure to play. Playing 2112, AFTK, and Trees>Xanadu was freaking life changing!! I need to find a drummer who has the skill and wants to bring this music to life. We have a bunch of local venue connections, plus guitars, bass and synths already dialed in. We just need a drummer who can hang. If you think you have the chops, please hit me up. Once we have a drummer, we can revisit our search for a singer.
