Ernst EGM 3M II German made conveyor sander for production deburring, de-slagging and edge rounding of cnc cut parts up to 1400mm (55") wide and 1-70mm (.04-2.75") thick. Saves bottleneck of hand finishing parts before forming, welding or assembly. Unlike a "timesaver" type belt sander this machine has an oscillating sanding drum with a compliant backing that conforms to the internal and external edges of the part to not only deburr the surface but also round the secondary burr formed from surfacing. The abrasive strips are cheaper than belts and changes are quick with air powered clamping. There are 2 counter rotating wire brushes after the sanding drum to further soften any remaining sharp edges dross and remove edge oxide. Has a permanent magnet under a portion of the conveyor for small parts.
The sheet metal is a banged up in a few places, the conveyor has blemishes and should be replaced, not the prettiest but otherwise good order.
