I just took these out of storage. I found these years ago and my wife had them displayed until a spoon collection took their spot. I would rather look at these…but some things are just better off left alone!…lol.
They are hand-formed, hand-painted terracotta bowls both made and signed by Manuel Vargas of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico in 2003. These 3-footed bowls with scalloped edged were never used for more than decoration by us. Aren’t they gorgeous! They have no damage and look like they did when I bought them. The missing paint on the feet is from dry-stilting in the kiln and normal. There were made with holes in the feet so they can be hung and displayed when not in use. The detail in painting is remarkable…Sr. Vargas put in some horas making these!

They belong on your wall, not in a box!

Large bowl: 10” diameter x 3 1/2” tall…$35
Small bowl: 5 3/8” diameter x 1 3/4” tall…$20

Both for $45…because I’d like them to stay together!

(Please excuse the glare of the overhead light. The glaze is shiny!)
