This is a high end, very attractive music system by SONY. It is model TC-140, known as a “Tapecorder”.
It has an analog tape counter, and dial playback volume and tone controls. On the side it has 1/8" input jacks for mic, remote, line-in, and monitor. I has a built in microphone, and battery life gauge. I also has a sturdy handle that tucks out of the way.
It will take a 120V source, (power cord included), or DC 6 volts. Further, it can be powered with 4 each, C-sized batteries.
The easy to read controls have cassette play and record, buttons for fast forward and reverse.
It is 10.5” wide, 2.5” deep and 6” high.
The easy stow handle make it a breeze to transport.
I played the cassette today. The sound was wonderful. It needs a "take up fix" to cause the tape to wind around the receiving capstan. This is probably a simple belt replacement. It fast forwards and reverses well enough.
The pictures show that the condition is that is was very much cared for.
This player is probably from the 1960s. It will evoke very fond memories for some. It would make an excellent prop for shows of the 1960s/70s era.
It comes from a smoke free, pest free home.
I will remove this ad when the item is sold.
