Busy optometric/medical practice in need of an employee with excellent customer service and communication skills (in person and over the phone), pleasant demeanor, professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude. Duties include, but are not limited to: Insurance verification, filing, phones, scheduling, patient referral coordination, reception, posting fee slips and balancing month end reports, maintaining inventory and inventory ordering. Excellent computer skills, math skills, as well as a desire to learn new things in a quickly changing environment also required. Applicant must be very attentive to detail, be able to resume task focus after disruption, and have a good command of the English language both written and verbally. Applicant must have a strong attendance record and having a strong desire to learn new things will enhance job satisfaction. Continuing education opportunities available. Experience desired, however, will train the right candidate. MA certification is required for position, but employer will reimburse costs after 90 days in good standing.
