I seek out good condition low brass instruments, get necessary repairs done to them, and add replacement parts (felts, springs, oil, grease) and find good homes for them. This horn required very little work to get up and running, and is set to find a new loving home.
This is a recent vintage Amati-Kraslice Bb tuba (they actually produce other brand horns, and are very well made. I has an outstanding lacquer finish (99%), that I left largely intact. It has repaired bell wrinkles (see photo) with a significant dent in an upper bow (see photo) that doesn't seem to impact its wonderful sound. It has great compression, an excellent-looking finish and it is very straight, with the one dent noted above. You can see details of its condition in the other photos - please note the bell repair. From up close it looks flawless and plays wonderfully, and there is very minor dinging that comes from prior use. That is the reason that the horn is selling for 22% of the cost of this specific horn (retails new for $7000 https://themusiciansclub.net/collections/amati-brass-instruments/products/amati-abb-221-bb-tuba) and it will retain its value if taken care of.
Come and give it a try - it comes mouthpiece if you need one.
